Last summer, I supported crisis communications efforts for Milwaukee Public Schools during a high-stakes financial reporting failure that risked the district’s state funding. My responsibilities included monitoring media coverage across multiple outlets, identifying key themes and stakeholders, and preparing internal briefings to inform leadership responses. I also helped craft messaging that clarified the district’s corrective actions, such as engaging external consultants and reinforcing transparency. This work ensured consistent public narratives, minimized political fallout, and supported efforts to build trust with state agencies and community leaders.

As part of the World YMCA communications team, I monitor all social media platforms to ensure timely, strategic engagement. This includes responding to comments, interacting with like-minded organizations, and collaborating with National Movements to amplify shared messaging and foster global community connections.
